City brings customer services to Makhaza, Harare and Steenberg
08 May 2023
This week the City’s Mobile Office will bring municipal services to
residents from Makhaza, Harare and Steenberg
The details of the visits are as follows:
- Tuesday, 9 May 2023, from 09:30 to 13:30 at the Desmond Tutu Hall, Cnr. 1 Cekeca and Jeff Masemola Roads, Makhaza, Khayelitsha
- Wednesday, 10 May 2023, from 09:30 to 13:30 at the Masibambane Community Hall/VPUU, 16 Nkinga Close, Harare, Khayelitsha
- Thursday, 11 May 2023, from 09:30 to 13:30 at the Steenberg Community Hall, 54 Cradock Road, Steenberg
The City's Customer Relations Department's mobile team will assist customers in these three areas with logging queries and service requests electronically. Customers can engage with the City on a wide range of non-emergency enquiries such as rates, sewage, electricity, water, refuse collections, and all other account enquiries. To date, the mobile office team has been very effective in resolving long outstanding queries for residents.
'By bringing these services to Makhaza, Harare and Steenberg we alleviate the residents' burden of having to spend time and money on transport. We hope that this opportunity will be taken up and that many queries are resolved on each day, in each area. We urge those who will make use of the services to bring along their ID or municipal accounts to ensure fast and efficient services are rendered,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.
